Duties and Responsibilities Include:
➡ To work closely with the Manager and Deputy to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and run the nursery in the absence of the Manager.
➡ To create a welcoming and family-friendly environment. To work in ratio with children and be responsible for key groups of children.
➡ To be always responsible for high standards of care and education of children in accordance with policies.
➡ To order and maintain equipment and resources in the nursery.
➡ To be responsible for admissions in line with the admissions policy, to keep a register and up-to-date records of all children in attendance, and to give regular feedback to parents about their child’s development and progress.
➡ To be responsible for the supervision and management of staff with varying levels of experience and to organise training for them.
Nursery Cook
We're looking for a qualified and enthusiastic cook to join the Fairytales Nursery team!
We are looking for someone with experience who holds a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate to work 25+ hours per week, between 9.00- 4.00pm Monday-Friday, plus occasional weekends for deep cleaning of the kitchen
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
➡ Planning weekly menus, in conjunction with the Management team.
➡ Co-ordinating the serving of mid-day meals and snacks throughout the day.
➡ Be responsible for food safety within the nursery, including all safety checks relating to children's dietary/allergy requirements, storage and preparation of food.
➡ Keeping records of all hygiene and risk assessments within the kitchen area.
➡ Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen area and for all kitchen equipment.
➡ Attend all meetings relevant to the position, as well as all relevant training to stay up to date on new legislation.
➡ Flexibility within working practices of the setting, undertaking other duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, supporting with staff/child ratios, cleansing of equipment, etc.
L3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner

We're looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Apprentice to join the Fairytales Nursery Team!
Fairytales offers a paid apprenticeship role, where you will be part of a warm and welcoming team! Gain hands-on experience as you earn your qualifications. You will be required to register with a training provider and attend training weekly to achieve your childcare qualification.
Apprentice role, 30+ hours per week between the hours of 7.00am & 7.00pm
Requirements:
→ GCSE's grade 4-9 / C- A* or equivalent in English and maths are desired but not essential on entry (You may be required to achieve this alongside your childcare qualification)
→ Excellent communication skills
→ Strong organisational and time-management skills
→ A patient disposition and ability to use your own initiative.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the nursery clean and tidy, reporting any potential maintenance issues to the nursery manager.
Requirements:
→ Have proven experience in a similar role
→ Able to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the setting at all times
→ Be able to identify any needs/and or issues around the nursery
→ Need a clear and valid DBS – oversea applicants will need a clear and valid certificate of good conduct
Duties and Responsibilities Include
→ To clean all areas of the day nursery including toilets, kitchen, play rooms and staff areas
→ To clean all surfaces of the day nursery including carpets, lino, wooden floors, paintwork, tiles and wallpaper
→ Report any maintenance issues that prevent safe and efficient cleaning of these areas.
→ To remove all bottles and recyclable materials to the relevant position or bin and ensuring anything recyclable is recycled.
→ Ensure there is sufficient stock levels and correct equipment within the nursery, ensuring that shortages do not prevent cleaning.

Early Years Teacher

Finance & Administration Officer
We're looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Finance & Administration Officer to join the Fairytales Nursery team!
The successful candidate will undertake all financial and administration duties in accordance with the office procedures of the company. This will include finance, and a combination of answering telephones, word processing, office machine operation, and customer service.
Additionally, they will be expected to maintain accurate records, have regard for legal and statutory requirements and to support the management team in maintaining the efficient running of the office.
This role is for 20+ hours over 3 days per week, between 9.00- 4.00pm Monday-Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
1. To manage all the incoming and outgoing finance and post at the Company.
2. Support the operation and ethos of the nursery, and all other services provided by the Company.
3. Support the Childcare Manager
4. To ensure that all files and records are maintained in accordance with OFSTED requirements and in
compliance with the requirements of employment and company law.
5. To work as part of a team and to support colleagues.
6. To be flexible with the working practices of the Nursery.
Finance
1. Maintain up to date records of all standing orders, BACS and direct debit payments, cash, cheques,
vouchers coming in and out.
2. To bank all takings promptly under dual control with evidence of payment made. Report to manager.
3. Produce invoices and receipts for all childcare fees.
4. Produce a weekly report of payers / non payers for the Childcare Manager/ Operations Manager/
Director
5. Liaise with childcare manager at all times to ensure there is a flow of communication regarding finance.
6. Accurately process, maintain and submit all necessary documentation to the Local Authority relating to
government funding (Early Learning for Twos and Nursery Education Funding). Ensure income received
balances with expected amounts.
Administration
1. To ensure that all financial/ administration information is kept within the organisation under lock and key
as part of the data protection policy.
2. To maintain an accurate and up to date database with all staff information and all bank staff.
3. To maintain an accurate database for the children registered with the Company and update as necessary.
Utilise a computer and Nursery software to maintain a variety of records, enter and update data
including name and address changes, record holiday dates, change of sessions and more.
4. File all relevant paperwork for the organisation and outside agencies to meet the requirements and
scrutiny of local Authority and Ofsted inspections. To include registers, diaries, risk assessments,
registration forms etc.
5. Assists at reception, answering questions and helping the public in obtaining information about the
childcare available at the Company. To deal with all queries regarding service or provisions provided by
The Company by post / email in person.
6. Update the “what you need to know” information for the kitchen/ inform the kitchen of any children’s
dietary requirements. Inform the manager, staff, all rooms
7. General administration / typing / photocopying at the request of the Childcare Manager.
8. To be prepared to help when other areas of the Nursery may be short staffed, or with domestic duties or
other duties as specified by the Childcare manager.
9. To attend staff meetings as requested.
10. To attend training as requested.
11. Additional ad-hoc duties as required.
